I'm actually ahead of schedule for once,which is a good thing as I have a thousand things to get accomplished this weekend, so I'm posting these mermaids today. Again I'm happy with how these turned out. I went back to using a neutral color for these ladies as they just seemed like Greek goddesses/starlets who didn't need a lot of color with all of that shine and glitter. The sea horse masks are cinched down and aren't removable but stay in place nicely without falling over. This was something I was having problems with while making the Calliope and Seraphina a few months ago. The mermaids are sealed with a matte finish that I've used on all of my new dolls, however I did not seal their hair, head pieces or masks as they are coated in tiny glitter so a tiny bit may come off in shipping but will not affect the look of the dolls at all. The silk ribbons that are tied around each mask have the following printed on them: 

Since once I sat upon a promontory, and heard a mermaid on a dolphin's back uttering such dulcet and harmonious breath that the rude sea grew civil at her song and certain stars shot madly from their spheres, to hear the sea-maid's music..
