Well I am back online and am hoping that all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We stayed here in Bend and spent time with Mark's family. It was a really great Christmas! It was also kind of nice to have a few weeks off to do some much needed work. Primarily cleaning and organizing this mess of a house and studio. For the most part, that has been accomplished and I will be back in the studio later this week or the beginning of next working on items for the next update. I still have some things to take care of in the next few weeks ( taking inventory of my studio for insurance purposes and gathering up our receipts, etc for taxes, all fun stuff of course ) but I'll try and keep you abreast of what I am currently working on :)
I may be doing a little more doll "experimenting" as that is one of my goals this year.. I am also signing up for a sewing class as I see that I need to become comfortable with my machine if I am to continue working with cloth. I've managed to get around it for now with basic hand sewing but I'm ready for the next step.
As I mentioned I have been busy with non doll related business. However, I did start an auction piece that I need to finish that up by midweek as it's due by Friday. I will post pictures of it in a few days. Oh and "Santa" was very very generous this year. A new camera and a couple of lenses including a macro one. I have barely had time to play with them so I will be doing so in the coming weeks :) I also received a backup hard drive and we went wireless today so hopefully that will speed things up a bit. I feel very grateful for all of the wonderful gifts as they will help out my business (Thanks M!).
I also look forward to getting back to my usual visits to the blogs on my site..something I have really bad at in the past two holiday months. Look forward to seeing what all of you are working on!
Back in a few days :)
