My great grandmother Emma Irene Kelly (pictured with three of her eight daughters including my grandmother in her lap).
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!
I have Irish ancestors on my mothers side who came from both the North and the Republic of Ireland, but truth be told I know very little about them. Somewhere in our big family there is a history written about that side and I am reminded today that I ought to get ahold of a copy..sooner than later...before it's lost...

Congrats to fellow Carnival attendee, Miss V...You won a little box of edible carnival treats:) Thanks to all who dropped by and left positive comments and emails! My project was kind of a last minute job but I loved creating different scenes.Expect to see more of that down the road as 3D illustration is something I am really interested in exploring.
Artist Monica Magness has put out a call to all artists (and non artists) to participate in an art project regarding the issue of the murders of the women of Juarez, Mexico. The goal is to have as many people as possible to send in an artful "dress" to Stampington & Company (publishers of Sommerset Studio, Art Doll Quarterly, Artful Blogging, etc.) as a way of calling attention to this dire, ongoing problem. Please visit her site for all of the details and if you feel so inclined , spread the news on your blog and let others know about this project.
