Shop Update Sneak Peeks +Carnival Soiree Dolls

Added 5/4/09~I have included descriptions of all eleven dolls -these are the same descriptions/photos that will be posted on my Etsy site:)

Here are four more dolls that will be available at tomorrow's shop update. I had planned for five instead of four, but I didnt have tome to finish the fifth doll, so she will be apart of the next batch. As you can see I'm still obsessed with a bird theme. I originally thought these ladies would holding dreaming masks but after having made the latest Frida dolls +birds I wanted to have these dolls to have a bird of themselves. I compromised by making these birds in a dream state. I debated on whether or not to add the birdcages but I'm going to save those for future dolls :)

I will be adding images of the three Carnival Soiree girls here tomorrow along with finished Frida doll pictures (I'll add those to the Frida post). I will be including descriptions of the dolls before tomorrow's update  as well. (Please keep in mind that when you purchase a doll and it's in your Etsy cart, you must proceed through checkout and pay for it before it's yours ).

Rhiannon is approx. 11.75" (29.5 cm) tall. She is wearing a lightweight(and very soft)satin dress in a warm silver/taupe or platinum color. An extra layer of ivory lace (with decorative sequins and beads on it) extends over the lower half of the dress. Around her waist she wears a decorative ribbon made of light brown organza with tiny beads and sequins stitched onto it. Rhiannon is wearing a mother of pearl necklace and her (painted) shoes are matching her dress in color. Her painted reddish brown hair is pulled up into a bun in the back and is adorned with a decorative floral piece in ivory and silver (paper and fabric) with a lavender swarovski crystal in the center. Rhiannon's eyes are painted hazel green.

Her Dreaming bird is approx. 1 3/4" in length (4 cm).The bird's body is painted a metallic/pearlescent taupe and wears a tiny silver beaded necklace. Both doll and bird are coated with a matte varnish for protection.

Mika is approx. 11.25" (28.5 cm) tall. She is wearing a greenish-gold dupioni silk dress. Around her neck she wears a decorative ribbon piece in the same color (made of organza and tiny yarn). Mika wears a gold metallic and lavender ribbon around her waist with a decorative floral pin glued to the front. Her hair is painted dark brown and is pulled up into two buns and is adorned with lavender colored silk flowers with tiny lavender swarovski crystals in the center. Mika's eyes are painted brown and her shoes are painted metallic gold.

Her Dreaming bird is approx. 1 3/4" in length (4 cm).The bird's body is painted a metallic/pearlescent taupe and wears a tiny silver beaded necklace. Both doll and bird are coated with a matte varnish for protection.

 

Arden is approx. 11.75" (29.5 cm) tall. She is wearing a lightweight (and very soft)satin dress in a pale pinkish/lavender color. Around her waist she wears a decorative ribbon made of chocolate brown with tiny beads and sequins stitched onto it. A silver and lavender floral pin is attached to the ribbon in the back for decorative purposes. She is wearing a lavender crystal necklace and her shoes are matching in color.Her wavy bobbed hair is painted dark brown and her eyes are painted a hazel brown/

Elara is approx. 11.75" (29.5 cm) tall. She is wearing a dupioni silk dress in a deep chocolate brown color. Around her waist she wears a decorative ribbon made of brown organza with tiny purple,gold and brown beads and sequins stitched onto it. Around her arms she wears a chocolate brown silk shawl. Her hair is painted hair dark brown and is adorned with a decorative floral piece in a cocoa,lavender and green colors (paper and fabric) with a lavender swarovski crystal in the center. Elara's eyes are painted hazel green and her shoes are painted dark brown.

Her Dreaming bird is approx. 1 3/4" in length (4 cm).The bird's body is painted a metallic/pearlescent taupe and wears a tiny silver beaded necklace (partial necklace due to her log hair). Both doll and bird are coated with a matte varnish for protection.

Here are the last of the dolls! I wasnt sure if I'd get these photographed as my tripod broke and the natural lighting is really awful today (it's rainy) so excuse the bad lighting.
I gave the dolls new arms and legs~I liked how they looked for the Carnival Soiree but for display purposes they needed to be changed out.
 I have added descriptions of all dolls and at the end of this post is a price list since I have had several inquiries as to the pricing (doesn't include shipping). I hope that helps everyone out :) Shop update will be at 5pm (pacific) at my Etsy shop~




Laudine is approx. 12.25" (32 cm) tall. She is wearing a short dress in black lace and pale peach silk.Around her waist she wears a decorative beaded trim in pale peach bugle beads. Three pale peach swarovski crystals adorn the back of her dress.She is wearing a black Czech beaded necklace and a large decorative floral headpiece made of silk,glitter,and paper. Her headpiece is painted in black and coated in tiny black glitter. Laudine's shoes are painted black, her short curly hair is painted a reddish brown and her eyes are blue.




Amorette is approx. 12.5"(31.5 cm) tall. She is wearing a short dress in ivory lace (with beads and sequins) and pale peach silk. Around her waist she wears a pale peach ribbon. She is wearing pale pink necklace with a multi-faceted crystal pendant (also in pale pink).She wears a large decorative floral headpiece made of glitter and pape. Her headpiece is made of peach colored bugle beads Amorette's shoes are painted gold,her stockings black and her hair dark brown (her hair is pulled up into a bun in the back).

Sian is approx. 12"(30 cm) tall. She is wearing a short dress in ivory lace (with beads and sequins) and pale peach silk. Around her waist she wears a pale peach ribbon. She is wearing black beaded necklace with a multi-faceted black crystal pendant.She wears a black and ivory striped ribbon/band around her head and attached is a large decorative floral headpiece made of glitter,paper and organza. Sian's shoes are painted gold,her stockings and hair black.
