Welcome to my blog and to the fourth annual One World One Heart Giveaway online event (this is my third year participating)! OWOH is an annual event in which bloggers from around the world are invited to hold a giveaway on their individual web sites. OWOH began when Lisa Swifka of A Whimsical Bohemian had a fantastic idea of bloggers holding giveaways as a way of meeting each other while fostering the spirit of giving. One new part of this years event is the introduction of a "theme" ~this year's being the Magic Carpet Ride and as part of my giveaway I have created a little photo montage of my art doll Sylvia and her encounter with such an imaginary form of transportation. Doll description is at the end of this post along with guidelines for entering my drawing~
Enjoy :)

Sylvia, as with all of my art dolls, is made of strong Polymer Clay and painted in acrylics with a matte varnish for protection. She has a foil armature in her torso and head and has a wire through both for extra support. She is approx. 14" from head to toe. Sylvia's eyes are painted green and do not close.** She is wearing an off white cotton dress and mustard yellow linen skirt underneath (the edges are frayed). Her coat is made of ultralight and soft gray corduroy (her clothes are not removable). She wears a matching headband made of silk cord and a rhinestone headpiece and her hair is made of light blond mohair. A three stranded necklace, made green aqua colored glass seed beads, adorns her neck. Sylvia's legs and arms are movable but her knees are permanently bent.
The winner of this doll will get to choose between the dancing horse snow dome or the yellow vintage looking suitcase as an accesory to be sent off with Sylvia on her new journey:)
Sylvia one of a kind "painterly" piece must be handled with utmost care as she can easily scuff or break if not careful. She for display purposes only and not intended for play. Doll should be propped carefully on a shelf or chair and kept out of the reach of tiny hands and creatures with nine lives. As with most artwork, it's best to keep item out of direct sunlight or extremes in temperatures.
Please be sure to visit Lisa's blog for the list of others hosting their own giveaways . You have until February 15th to enter each drawing as that is the date participants will be drawing names of winners. Each blog has thier own set of rules per entry.
This is a wonderful way to meet new people all over the world and discover some amazing blogs and lovely people :)
Thank you for stopping by !

* Special thanks again to my husband who put together the snow dome just as I pictured and who helped me with the luggage. Mark also assisted me during the windy slushy snowy "photo shoot" balancing an umbrella and a rigged magic carpet ~thank you!
**p.s. For those inquiring about Sylvia sleeping..that was done with the "magic" of photo shopand added for story telling purposes only : )I've made dreaming masks for my dolls in the past~ I rather like the look , so maybe you'll see a dreaming doll or two in the future. Oh and the snow globe has ultra fine crystal glitter inside~
p.s.s. A few prints are now available in my Etsy shop for those who asked. Those inquiring about the magic carpet..like my hot air balloon photos ,it was shot on location ,involved some foam core & very fine thread dangling from a stick with a very patient husband balancing it all ; )
