Art Doll Sylvia is headed off again..

My Art Doll Sylvia will be hitching another ride on the magic carpet this week to go live with Wanda from Two Crafty Mules(picked  by random number generator #420)! Thank you to all who left wonderful comments about dreams, travels abroad, music & movie reccomendations, etc. You provided some fantastic names suggestions for my future dolls as well and I will be jotting them down for reference. The next batch of Du Buh Du Dolls will be given names you provided~ Have a fantastic week ahead :) p.s. I will be offline for a few days/indefinitely as my computer is in the shop...I will return emails and convos when I'm up and running again..What next...geesh !

Latest (ongoing) exhibition by Isabelle de Borchgrave

For those of you who have a life long love of paper like me, you probably fall in love all over again when you see something as spectacular as the latest work by designer and paper artist Isabelle De Borchgrave. Her most recent exhibition (currently being held at the Musées d’Art et d’Histoire du Cinquantenaire in her native Brussels) is based on the clothing of the famed Medici family and looks stunning. I can only imagine how exquisite the clothing must be in person. I'm crossing my fingers that she will exhibit her work here (on the West Coast) in the future..enjoy~

I've been slow to get back into my work as I am still feeling not feeling myself but I am getting to them ~I'm finding lots of sources of inspiration lately which I'm taking as a tap on the shoulder about the direction my dolls might go. Thanks for bearing with me..

New Prints

 

  Thanks to everyone so far who have dropped by and entered the doll  giveaway for the One World One Heart  Event! Your suggestions and comments are fantastic and I'm keeping track of the name suggestions. Since I've had several requests about prints being made available, I have added the two above to my shop. You still have time to enter the drawing for Sylvia in the post below (ends Feb. 15th)

Thanks also for your well wishes. I came down with what I thought was  just a simple cold and wound up bed ridden for the better part of a week thanks to a lovely virus.  I'm still not over it but at least I'm up getting some work done.

 I have been receiving several inquiries regarding doll prices,etc. In the right hand column there is a FAQ section that links to my shop policies. There are some answers to those questions along with doll construction info., etc.. I will be reworking a FAQ for this blog very soon that I hope will be a little bit more user friendly:)
