short clip from new film by Lavis & Szczerbowski
Hey everyone~hope all is going well. Thank you for your wonderful comments and inquiries regarding the Frida shrine :) I will post more details a few days before the auction which begins March 20th. Please consider either donating a shrine (there's still time) or by bidding on a piece if you can.
In the meantime I'm letting you know that I will be taking the next few weeks off from blogging. I know, I know..you have been taking the past few weeks and months off!! I have been sick on and off (and on) again , fatigued and when I sit down to accomplish anything, including my art, my heart and ability to focus isn't there. The depression that I've had as far back as I can remember, seems to have crept back these past few months and is affecting my health and outlook in the most frustrating ways (no doubt has made me a difficult person to live with). Anyhow, nothing too serious, but being the pragmatic sort, I thought I'd give you a heads up and be a little honest about what's going on. I need some time to get my mojo back~ some of you can probably relate..
On a pleasant note.. Suzanne from Italian Girl in Georgia sent me these two vibrant sunny prints from her original watercolors ~I won them as part of the One World One Heart Giveaway:) Suzanne is a talented photographer who also works in various mediums including gouache and acrylics. Thank you Suzanne for sending a little sunshine my way :)
Before I go I just had to include the above clip from the latest short film from Spike Jonze . The directors are Lavis & Szczerbowski who created one of my all time favorite stop motion films, Madame Tutli Putli. The short film is based on Maurice Sendack's book Higglety Pigglety Pop and is included on DVD for Where the Wild Things Are..I'm loving the creepy cool milkman cat :)
