Summer has arrived in Bend! Our lilacs are finally blooming, Farmers Market is open for business and yesterday's rain will be the last for awhile, I hope. This past weekend's Hot Air Balloon festival was pretty much a wash out due to inclement weather (our Spring has been one long continuation of Winter here in Central Oregon), but I was able to surprise Andres Monday morning with a last minute"ride" in a tethered Balloon. I would have taken scenic pictures of the Cascades but I was just trying to keep my cool in front of the kids and not react to the wobbly basket or footage of the Hindenburg flashing in my head. The week ended with Mark taking Andres up in a glider this afternoon courtesy of Pilot Brian (owner of Sunriver Soaring).
