Art Dolls

How appropriate for a Mad Tea Party Post (I will be contacting you shortly Alice). Thank you so much for participating in the giveaway and for your wonderful support , comments and recommendations. I hope to get around and meet some of you soon. The dolls are still in the box after their outing so I need to repair any scuffs , fix their hair , etc.which is the usual routine after a "photo shoot". I will rephotograph them and provide those images and descriptions (sometime next week) and will post details of the shop update here on my blog, sometime this weekend along with what doll//commissioned piece Alice chose.
You can sign up to be on my mailing list for future shop updates by emailing me at [email protected] (I already sent out shop update info to those on my list).
And after a long while of avoiding facebook I have finally succumbed and set up a page so you can keep track of what I'm up to ;perhaps this will be easier for some of you (this will be for my dolls only..no personal//family info.).
Here are some answers to some of the questions you left! I'll keep it short and sweet..
a. The dolls are made of polymer clay and are about 13-14" tall (they do not stand on their own)
b. Yes, I made the fruit..also made of polymer clay and painted with acrylics
c. Yes Mark made the boat and Rickshaw from scratch. He is a teacher by profession but also does model work on the side, especially during the summmer (he's busy working on a project right now) but he is considering making patterns for the gypsy caravan from last year, possibly the rickshaw. If and when this occurs I will let you know as I am still getting emails regarding last years Gypsy Caravan :)
d. The photos are taken on location..backgrounds are not photo shopped in ~we are lucky to live in a beautiful area with diverse scenery!
OK...I think that's it for now. Off to get some work done as we have
family coming into town. Repairing dolls and kneading some clay for my
next batch of dolls is on the list of things to do today and tomorrow :)
