Art Doll Anastacia
Art Doll "Anastacia" (click images to enlarge)
Greetings and welcome to my blog! Shortly after beginning this blog in 2007 I came across Lisa Swika's blog A Whimsical Bohemian as she was preparing to host the second OWOH event. One World One Heart was started as a way for bloggers worldwide to get to know each other and I have met many wonderful creative people over the past several years. This is the fifth and final One World One Heart event and giveaway (and my fourth time participating in it) and I want to thank Lisa for organizing this fantastic yearly get together! :)
Anastcia wearing paper crown of flowers, leaves and butterflies
As my door prize this year I thought I would combine elements of the past few dolls I have given away for previous OWOH events into one doll (paper crown, glass domes, swan theme, etc.). Her name is Anastacia ( a past blog event name reccomendation) and the description of my doll follows at the end of this post including which accessories she comes with~.
To enter my giveaway just leave a comment below~I always welcome doll name suggestions, book, music and movie reccomendations and please let me know where you are from :) I will be picking a winner via the random number generator on Feb 17th and will announce the winner here. If for some reason you are unable to leave a comment here on my blog (this inevitably happens for some reason) just send me an email at [email protected] and I will add your comment to this post. :) Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to head over to Lisa's blog as she is not only the host but participating in a giveaway as well! You can click on the links to the other bloggers participating with their own giveaways while over there or by clicking on the avatar below:
~Drawing ends at 3pm (PST), Thursday Feb. 17th~
Comments are closed and I will return this evening with the winner!

"Anastacia" is an articulated Art Doll made of polymer clay. She is approx. 14.5" tall from her toes to the tip of her crown and is painted with European artist acrylics and sealed with a satin/matte uv varnish. Her hair is made of black English Viscose and the crown* (along with the flowers on the neckline of her dress) are in the shapes of butterflies, flowers and leaves. The crown is made of water color paper, pearlized "champagne/taupe" color acylic paint, sterling silver wire, glass and silver dipped beads. Anastacia's dress is asymetrical and made in a patchwork/shabby style using new and vintage lace, dupioni silk, satin silk, metallic silk, tulle, jacquard & velvet ribbon in various shades of ivory, silver, taupe, etc.(clothing is not removable). The beading/sequins on her bodice and skirt were sewn on by hand. Her leggings are painted black and her shoes are painted a pearlized ivory color and embellished with embroidered trim. Anastacia's arms and legs are connected to her body using sterling silver wire and findings. This doll comes with a tiny glass dome that contains a miniature version of her riding a swan that I sculpted and painted using polymer clay and acrylics.
Please note: I used several arms for this photo shoot. The doll will arrive with the pose above. She does not stand or sit on her own and should be propped up or have support from a doll stand (not included). Doll does not come with wings ~only the glass dome :) "Anastacia" was made specifically for this event and as with all of my dolls lots of love and attention went into her creation. I hope you enjoy:)
*the crown was inspired by this paper crown from the 1860's
