Thank you to all who bid on "Paula's Tree" and the other one hundred+ pieces at the Art of Communication Show! I'm sure it was quite a success and I look forward to seeing how the project is implemented into various curriculums..
I've have been receiving a bit of email recently about special orders and I just wanted to let those who don't know already know, that I do not do custom orders or have a waiting list and I will be keeping it that way as that works best I think. Also right now I am focusing on experimenting with new clays so the dolls are taking a bit longer. Thanks for your patience!
I have also received requests about tutorials~I do not do those either. I learned the basics of primitive doll construction during a ten minute segment of a craft show featuring Dame Darcy. However, there are lots of great videos/sites that if I were starting out now, I would probably be focusing on. Here are just a few that I recommend.
* Polymer Clay Tutorials by Amanda Day.
* Hanano is the artist who did the video above. More videos here and their blog.
* Mark Dennis, Mad Sculptor: Great pointers and techniques for those working with Polymer.
* A really good reference book for your "doll making" library.
