Hi there! I wanted to write a quick post as it's been too long of a break from my last post (I'm still taking a break from doll making) and I wanted to share a few shots of a place we visited for my birthday. Portlanders are not only lucky to be in close proximity to Hood River ,our favorite fruit picking spot, but to be just minutes from Sauvie Island. Though it was incredibly hot, we enjoyed the beauty of this lush farmland and what a suprise it was to walk down row after row of raspberries and have the smell of fresh baked berry pie linger in the air (and all the way home to Bend). If you are in the area and have not yet visited, head on over as the berry/peach season is ending and take a picnic as there are beaches and wildlife areas to explore.
Summer, why must you come and go so quickly..
