Time to brush off the dust from this blog and get back to blogging! It was nice to take a break from dollmaking, and while I didn't get much accomplished in the way of experimenting, we did get a lot work done on the house and now we're back into the busy routine of school, karate lessons, etc.. I'm just starting on Christmas ornaments and will have some as part of a shop update next month.
In the meantime, here is or son's costume this year (click here to see previous years costumes) It was his idea to be our local ski resort Mt. Bachelor here in Bend, Oregon. Mark created this replica of the top half using foam, plaster bandages, t-pins,etc. The mountain was coated in ultra fine glitter and had tiny lights in the building that also lit up the sign in the back. The mountain opens in a few weeks and judging by the reaction this garnered from locals, everyone is excited for the ski season to begin~
