Art Dolls by Du Buh Du Designs

{ Shop Update~Doll Ornaments 2013 }

 

I will have ten Art Doll ornaments available for purchase in my Etsy shop this morning at 11:30 am Pacific/ 2:30 Eastern time. Any U.S. orders placed Friday or Saturday morning, will be sent out by this Saturday (USPS deadline for Priority Mail packages to arrive by Christmas Eve).  Any order sent overseas will obviously not arrive by Christmas and will be shipped First class International. If you are new to my Etsy shop, I will list the dolls at the time above and you will need to refresh that page until you see the dolls appear on your screeen. ~General Doll Description~

These hanging dolls are slightly larger than my previous ornaments~they are 11.5"-12" in length and the black ribbon is approx. 2.5". Each is dressed in various silks that I hand stenciled with gold metallic paint and dye. The hair is made of premium Suri Alpaca and is decorated with silk cording and paper flowers that are handmade and painted with watercolors & acrylics . The dolls shoes are painted gold and leggings are black. They wear handmade tassels and the black satin ribbon reads "Du Buh Du Designs".

 

 

{ Doll Ornaments }

 

Here are the seven doll ornaments that will be available this evening in my Etsy shop at 6:30pm Pacific time/9:30 pm Eastern time. They are approx. 10-10.5" in length (not including the 2.5-3" ribbon) and the heads are approx. 1.5" just to give you an idea as to their size.

General Description:
Dolls are dressed in various silks (dupioni, chiffon, organdy, metallic) in gold, icy pink,  black and teal blue, black velvet and vintage lace . Their hair is made of premium Suri Alpaca (my first time using this super soft and silky material). Tiny sequins and glass beads are hand sewn on various parts of their dresses and I made the flowers out of watercolor paper. Each has been painted and dusted with tiny glass beads and/or ultra fine glitter. Their shoes are painted a gold color. The cotton ribbon from which the hang has been dyed with coffee and each reads"Seasons Greetings~Christmas 2012~ Du Buh Du Designs".

{ Shop Update }

 

 I will be adding these seven Doll ornaments to my Etsy shop today at 1pm Pacific. For those new to my shop updates I go by the clock on the right hand side of my blog ( click on the clock to see conversion times for your time zone). Please note that once on my Etsy page, you must keep hitting the refresh button to see the dolls appear in my shop. Dolls are sold on a first come first serve basis~please visit my Shop Policies section beforehand. These will be shipped out via Priority Mail to ensure that they arrive before Christmas in the US.

~D o l l  D e s c r i p t i o n~

These Doll Ornaments are smaller (lightweight) versions of my hand sculpted polymer clay "Du Buh Du Dolls". They are approx. 9.5-10" in length (not including the 2.5-3" ribbon) and the heads are approx. 1.5" just to give you an idea as to their size.

Each is dressed in various ivory and cream colored silks (metallic, satin, dupioni) and vintage lace/tulle (circa 1890-1930's). I gently cleaned each of the laces but please note that any water stain or hole in said lace was left as is. Each doll has been hand painted using fine artists acrylics. The frayed silk ribbon around their waists is made of  dark salmon colored dupioni and their hair is made of English viscose (except for Poppy's blonde locks which is Tussah silk and camel).. Tiny sequins and glass beads are hand sewn on various parts of their dresses and I made the flowers (on dresses and in hair) out of watercolor paper. Each has been hand painted using pearlescent acrylic and dusted with tiny glass beads and/or ultra fine crystal. Their shoes are painted a pearl ivory color. The cotton ribbon from which the hang has been dyed with coffee and each says "Seasons Greetings~Christmas 2011~ Du Buh Du Designs".

Each doll holds a banner that reads:

As with most of my previous ornaments they can be hung all year round or framed if you wish. Please keep these fragile art pieces out of direct sunlight, heat, and humidity to ensure that they last a lifetime :)
